Increasingly over the years Riverview has gained a reputation for being one of the most creative churches around, merging the ancient and the modern. From massive art instillations, fringe festivals and imaginative ways of trying to connect with unchurched Aussies. Indeed we are no longer the church we once were, and creativity has been the accent on the message that has enabled so many people to understand and buy into what local churches are all about.

To find the centre of this creativity storm that swirls around us with change and delight, one has to go upstairs, down several corridors of offices to a smallish window free room filled with candles. There Amanda sits amidst the paraphernalia of the random mind. Art works adorn. Candles scent. Letters and quotes chatter. Actually the room is a mess yet somehow all of this synthesise into Christ focused passion filled wonderful ideas.

Amanda not only leads the charge on this value but has been able to inspire a culture of creativity within everything we do despite whoever we are. I am thrilled that she has put pen to paper and written, this her first book. Though of course it is not really a book, I write books they have chapters, logical progression, illustration and references, bibliographies and footnotes.
